Triumph at Run to Home Base

Proud to be a Sponsor of Run to Home Base ~

Saturday,  July 15rd  – Triumph will be at Fenway Park on the concourse as a Sponsor for Run to Home Base. Since its inception in 2010,  Triumph has been honored to support the men and women who serve in the Military thru our involvement with Run to Home Base.   This year we are also sponsoring a Triumph Employee and former Marine, Michael “Okie” O’Connell.  The Red Sox Foundation and Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) started Home Base with a particular focus on healing the invisible wounds of war.  To learn more about how this program helps, here is a story from a local Massachusetts Veteran.

Home Base operates the largest clinic in the nation devoted to healing invisible wounds such as post-traumatic stress disorder, traumatic brain injury, anxiety, depression,  substance use disorder and family relationship challenges.    We at Triumph are grateful every day for the opportunities this country and our local community of Boston provide to us.  We are particularly grateful to our Veterans and their families and since learning of Home Base, we wanted to show our support.

Home Base is a very unique and important program for our Military here in the Boston area and beyond, helping more than 9,000 Veterans and Family Members with care and support in only the last few years. The strength and commitment of the Red Sox Foundation and MGH are evident each passing year and we can only imagine the help that is being provided to our Veterans who need the program.  We are grateful to be able to do the small part that we do, each year.

Home Base team has trained more than 12,000 health care providers nationally to help with the issues of traumatic stress and other related difficulties.  Moreover, the MGH Sports Medicine team & Red Sox Strength and Conditioning team have developed several Wellness Based Programs to address the less complex issues that affect the mental well-being of our returning Veterans.

Triumph will be on the concourse again this year!   We hope you stop by our game and register  for a drawing to win 4 Red Sox Tickets.

Be sure to check out other  Race Day Exhibits and Games for more information about the event.
