Williams College Temporary Modular Faculty Office
Perry faculty office and specialized support and learning space
Williams College is planning many improvements to its campus in the coming years. They needed a building for special testing of eyes and ears and other exacting programming requirements of its faculty while also meeting the design criteria of the existing campus. They chose to lease the building instead of designing and building a permanent building for this particular project. A 90-day design charette took place to collaborate on certain needs such as soundproofing of certain lab areas and other unique requirements of the building. Sixty-two large Windows were used to bring in natural light, and the team worked with professional design and engineers to meet the needs of the faculty.
